Tell us about yourself.
I am an international student from Italy. Since I was a teenager, I wanted to master the world of global finance and be part of an organization that spanned the world’s business and industry. At every chance I got, I took a step toward realizing my aspirations. In high school, I picked accounting as a major, for my bachelor's degree I chose to study economics and management and I am now pursuing a Master’s in Finance to complete my studies in this field.

Why did you pursue your program, and why did you choose George Mason University?
Through this master’s program, I aim to gain the experience needed to understand how to implement sound, strategic financial decisions, knowing that these decisions are at the core of every well-managed organization. I chose George Mason University for its Master’s in Finance program because it offers an intensive, one-year full-time option. The curriculum is designed to comprehensively prepare students for the job market, equipping us with the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers.

Can you tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
In my free time, I love to rollerblade and work on mastering new languages. My next challenge is learning French and Spanish. I also love meeting people from all over the world and hearing their stories. George Mason University has a vibrant multicultural community, and I’m excited to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and expand my circle of friends.

What have been the highlights of your experience so far?
My experience at George Mason University has been great. From the admissions process to the start of the semester, I’ve always felt supported and had someone who I could reach out to. I'm already learning so much more than I did during my undergraduate studies, and it has already proven to be incredibly rewarding.

What goals do you have for the future?
In the future, I aspire to work for organizations with international connections, where I can contribute to facilitating business between companies across different countries. I am confident that a Master’s in Finance, combined with my passion for learning multiple languages, will help me achieve this goal.

What is your advice for aspiring candidates in your program?
Be curious, never stop asking questions and start networking from the beginning. Go to the events offered by the school and start making connections.
