Spring Internships at UNA-NCA

Body

Established in 1953, UNA-NCA is one of the oldest and largest chapters of the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) and a member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). In 2010, the UN Foundation and UNA-USA announced that they formed a strategic alliance to strengthen the U.S.-UN relationship.

With the support of more than 2,000 members, volunteers, and supporters in the greater Washington area, UNA-NCA works to build public knowledge, strengthen U.S.-UN relations, and aid the UN in achieving its goals.

UNA-NCA has several unpaid internships to be filled for the Spring Semester:

  • Programs & Membership Program Assistant

    • focused upon membership development, event planning, volunteer and stakeholder management, general administrative tasks, and strategic communications
  • Graduate Fellows Program Assistant
    • experience working in a small, non-profit environment as an integral member of the UNA-NCA team while gaining exposure to a variety of project management responsibilities
  • Communications & Design Assistant
    • lead the creation of promotional materials including promotional graphics and key content related to the organization such as event coverage and footage

These internships will be for 20-32 hours/week, Monday through Thursday to start in the next few weeks until at least mid-May. Our internships offer a great opportunity to engage in advocacy, programming, communications, and operations in a non-profit office environment. As well, our office is connected with many Untied Nations Agencies and likeminded organizations in DC, offering unmatched networking opportunities.
