Intern with the Department of the Navy (DON): Financial Management & Comptroller (FM&C), or Headquarters Marine Corps Program & Resources (HQMC P&R) We are seeking rising undergraduate juniors and seniors to participate in a three-month summer internship opportunity from mid-May to mid-August 2024. Interns will engage with mission critical financial operations to help the Navy and Marine Corps find solutions to real-time challenges in support of our Warfighters. Students will have opportunities to engage with some of our most senior leaders as well as travel offsite and interact with the men and women serving in Uniform. This program will be hosted onsite at the Pentagon or Washington Navy Yard. High-performing interns may be eligible for additional opportunities at the conclusion of the program.

WHY INTERN WITH US? The DON FM&C oversees the management of the $230 billion annual DON budget. This budget sustains approximately 4,000 aircraft, more than 300 ships, and over 720,000 DON personnel in more than 14 countries and 253 locations across 40 states. Interns will:

  • Apply knowledge and build new skills with DON headquarters subject matter experts.
  • Utilize and improve data analytics skills to produce DON financial reports.
  • Network with and learn from experts in the field about supporting warfighter readiness.
  • Explore a DON career in financial management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, management, actuarial science, or other related degree
  • Rising Junior or Senior
  • Minimum GPA of 2.95
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
