We are seeking individuals interested in pursuing a career in public accounting to serve as interns who will support our tax, audit and accounting departments.

What You Can Expect

Internships typically begin in late fall, or June. You will perform entry-level staff accounting work, including bookkeeping and preparing corporate, partnership, trust and individual tax returns. Interns work with a team performing audits, reviews and compilations for nonprofit, manufacturing, healthcare, government contracting and construction clients.

The position requires the ability to work an average of 25 hours per week. Working full days (7.5 hours) or larger blocks of time is preferred. During tax season, the ability to work at least 4 hours is a plus. There is potential for some virtual work.

Qualifications

To Qualify, You:

  • Are pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree in accounting
  • Have completed intermediate accounting courses
  • Are a junior or senior (sophomores will be considered)
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software systems)
  • Are a self-starter who’s able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have a strong work ethic, willing attitude and aptitude to learn
