Marketing Communications Specialist at Unison

Unison is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to help generate leads through multi-channel campaigns, coordinate virtual and hybrid events, boost sales-conversion rates, and build Unison’s brand equity. This role requires the person be organized, self-motivated, and exhibit strong attention to detail.

Unison is the leading provider of cloud-hosted and on-premises solutions for federal government procurement, cost engineering, and contracting software. Our SaaS-based solutions deliver insight from predictive analytics rolled into our library of enterprise software, apps, and bots. Responsibilities   

  • Assist with planning and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns to government and business audiences, including email, paid advertising, social media, and events
  • Manage logistics for virtual events, including preparing presenters, tracking registrations, and conducting follow-on activities
  • Produce, maintain, and analyze campaign effectiveness dashboards, specifically for account-based marketing campaign performance
  • Draft high-performing, compelling copy and creative to be used in marketing campaigns and social media
  • Assist with corporate event planning and coordination
  • Ability to meet on periodically in the office in Dulles or Tysons, Virginia

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related concentration – or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – including prioritizing tasks, applying judgment, and staying on schedule
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
  • Experience assisting with events management
  • Experience managing social media for a group or organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written, analytical and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of data management and ability to use Excel to organize data, create reports, and deliver meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design fundamentals

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Premier Pro or other video editing tools
  • Familiarity with InDesign or other graphic design tools
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other marketing automation tool
  • Familiarity with Safesforce.com or other CRM tool
