Biography
Prior to coming to George Mason University, Saiid served as the Acting Dean, Program Chair in MIS, Associate Professor in the School of Computer Information Systems, Vice-Chair of the Faculty Assembly, and Vice Chair of Faculty Rank Committee at Fairfax University of America (2013-2020). From 2003 to 2013, Saiid served as the Assistant Director for Instructional Technology at the Catholic University of America in Northeast Washington, DC. Coming full circle, Saiid is actually a GMU alumnus, having received his Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University in 1993. Saiid also obtained his M.S. in Management Science from University of Tennessee (Knoxville, TN) in 1998, and B.S. in Business Administration (Tehran, Iran) prior to emigrating to the US with his family. For more than two decades he has taught courses in Information Systems, Business, and Library Science at different higher education institutions across the DMV area as well as with Brothers of Charity (a Catholic Charity Organization) in Belgium.
