Sequestration, sequestration, se — Wait, don’t summon the S-word!

Jason Miller with Federal News Network wrote an interesting article on congressional approval for next year's budget. Emily Murphy, Senior Fellow with the Baroni Contracting Center is quoted sharing insights for government executives on how best to monitor the budget process and how agencies can engage with their Congressional Affairs office.

Some of the tips from Murphy include:

• "When she was a staff member on the Hill she always enjoyed hearing directly from federal employees. . . . and didn’t hesitate to reach out to program folks."
• "She also cautioned against “freelancing” with Hill staff as it may cause your agency some unnecessary heartache."
