Management Advisory Council

The Management Advisory Council is composed of industry leaders who help provide thought leadership for the management area within the Costello College of Business.

Council members provide valuable business viewpoints to faculty which offer new perspectives on courses or current topics.

Board members also help to provide researchships, create partnerships with the Mason Talent Exchange, support industry events, and help to create a more robust talent pipeline for the region.

    Adjunct Faculty, Management

    Skip West is the founder of MAXSA Innovations, a member of the Management Advisory Council, and an adjunct faculty member within the Management Area in the Costello College of Business at George Mason University.

    President and CEO, Navy Mutual Aid Association

    Rear Admiral Brian Luther, USN (Ret) is a native of Trumbull, Connecticut. He is a 1984 graduate of Marquette University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

    Moe Ali has over 15 years of experience in talent acquisition (TA). Most recently, he served as the Recruiting Team Manager at SAIC supporting multiple DoD accounts.

    Sean Cassidy is a senior director at Visa Inc. where he leads the North America and Latin America Business Solutions Client Services organization.

    President, STAT Association Management, Inc. 

    Sharon Galler is the founder and president of STAT. She formed STAT, a woman-owned business, in 1986 to provide a broad range of sales and services to the association industry.

    Deputy Director, Corporate Business Systems

    Scott Hine is a member of the executive leadership team within the Department of Energy, Office of the Chief Financial Officer where he is the Deputy Director of Corporate Business Systems. Scott has over 30 years of portfolio, program and project management experience.

    Principal, Biomedical Innovation and Health, Mitre

    Franziska Moeckel principal, biomedical innovation and health, at MITRE. Prior to that, she was the assistant vice president, personalized health at Inova where she oversaw the strategy development for genomic test integrations and was responsible for clinical implementation of precision medicine research achievements and discoveries.
