We offer bachelor of science degrees in the following five majors:
Accounting
Today’s demand for accurate and honest financial reporting has led to an unprecedented need for accountants in industry, government, and trade groups. As an accountant, you analyze and report the critical measures of organizational performance and advise organizations in structuring their operations. Your accounting degree prepares you for a career in such areas as financial and managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and accounting information systems.
Finance
Armed with a finance degree, you’re in demand for your services because you can take the lead in making decisions concerning asset evaluation, stock portfolios, financial statements, and capital budgeting. We prepare you for a career in such areas as corporate and public finance, real estate, investment banking, commercial banks and credit unions, portfolio management, and personal financial advising.
Information Systems and Operations Management
Being able to combine business knowledge and tech savvy is an invaluable skill that employers covet. As an ISOM major, you learn to use information systems and quantitative analysis to advance an organization. This degree prepares you to manage database systems, networks, and web sites, serve as a consultant or project manager designing production and distribution facilities, or to forecast economic and business activities and solve supply-chain management problems.
Management
Learn to be an adaptive manager who understands today’s key human resource issues and can lead in tomorrow’s work environment. As a management major, you learn to motivate a workforce, encourage teamwork, identify competitive advantages, negotiate effectively, and succeed in diverse and multicultural work environments. At the end of the program, you’re ready to start and run your own business or start a career in human resources or become an entry-level supervisor.
Marketing
As a marketing major, you learn how to match opportunities in the market to an organization’s goals, research consumer needs, and design, deliver, and communicate the value of products and services in a dynamic, competitive environment. If you’re interested in advertising, product management, brand management, business development, public relations, or customer service, this is the degree for you.
