In 2012, dozens of you supplied fresh perspectives and ideas for re-engaging with you as a group. We discussed ways to broadcast the accomplishments of our school & alumni, as well as ways to ensure delivery of top-notch employees into the workforce. We learned that you are seeking a way to give back that would be meaningful for your marketing, recruiting, and philanthropic objectives.
Having taken your suggestions into account, I am proud to announce the official kick off of the 2013 Global Firm Leaders' Challenge!
The Global Firm Leaders' Challenge gives senior executives in global accounting and consulting firms the opportunity to compete for the Leaders' Cup by pledging their support of Mason accounting programs. The top supporting firm will be crowned the winner of the Cup in December. While we aim for this to be a fun competition among peers, it also allows participants to build a personal connection with George Mason's talented scholars and to make a lasting impact on their collegiate experience.
Our commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. Most recently, we have climbed sixteen places to #72 in the rankings among undergraduate business programs, while our part-time MBA program has jumped to #59 (U.S. News & World Report). In addition, our faculty is ranked #19 in tax research according to the BYU Accounting Research Rankings.
