Corporate Governance

The School of Management (SOM) prides itself on its expertise in the area of corporate governance. With a critical mass of knowledge and research among faculty in this area, MBA and MS in accounting students benefit from this expertise in a corporate governance and ethics course and undergraduate students benefit via innovative honors seminars with a focus on business ethics.

SOM’s accounting area also hosts two annual events, the Annual Corporate Governance and Ethics Symposium and the Annual Corporate Governance and Fraud Prevention Conference. The Ethics Symposium provides practitioners the opportunity to hear from policy makers and experts about trends in accounting and auditing practices. The Fraud Conference brings together a wide range of scholars, researchers, and professionals to discuss current issues facing corporate governance, fraud, and ethics.
