Students have an average of 15 years of work experience and almost 25 percent of students already have graduate degrees. They are vice presidents, directors, project managers, senior software developers, network managers, and technology and IT consultants. They usually have responsibility for project leadership, budgets and control, client relationships, business development, technology assessment, or business planning.
The students also reflect the major industries of the northern Virginia and metropolitan Washington, D.C., region. Almost two-thirds are employed in the private sector, while the remainder work for federal government agencies or departments. Some of the major industries represented by our students are information technology, telecom, defense, healthcare, financial services, consulting and e-commerce.
