About Gerald
Although not yet an accountant, Gerald spent ten years auditing as part of his duties in the United States Navy. During his time with the Navy, he worked as a nuclear reactor mechanic and quality assurance inspector. In both of these positions, he spent countless hours reviewing maintenance files and records to find abnormalities. These experiences led Gerald to pursue a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting and gain the necessary accounting and auditing skills to apply the knowledge gained during his time in the Navy to a successful career as an auditor and CPA.
A member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Mason’s Accounting Honors Program, Gerald says, "I chose Mason for my graduate degree because of the high-quality accounting faculty, partnerships with accounting firms and industry veterans, and its reputation as a business program dedicated to excellence."
