Preparing for Your Coursework
As a new graduate student, you must attend three orientation sessions.
Registration
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast. Lunch will be provided each day. Students must register each morning.
Attire
Day 1: Business Attire
Day 2: Business Casual
Day 3: Business Casual
Parking
Parking is available in student parking lots A, K, or J. Please make sure you have a valid George Mason student parking permit.
If you have not purchased your permit, please park in the Mason Pond or Shenandoah (formerly Sandy Creek) parking decks. These are self-pay parking decks. Campus maps can be found at http://eagle.gmu.edu/map/.
Agenda
At the orientation, you will meet fellow classmates, faculty, and program staff. You will participate in workshops designed to prepare you for graduate business coursework by focusing on technology skills and discovering your leadership and collaboration style. You also will be introduced to career management resources that are available to you as an MBA student.
We will cover a number of logistical items including:
- Program requirements and expectations
- Using Mason resources, including e-mail, library and parking
- Future planning of required courses and electives
