Fiona Sussan joined the George Mason University's marketing faculty in August of 2005. As a doctoral candidate, she received the prestigious John Funk Award from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University for her research on integrated marketing communication and new product adoption, work that was also recognized with the dissertation award for excellence by the Association for Consumer Research. Sussan's research findings have also shed insight on the value of virtual location and word-of-mouth advertising in new product adoption.
Prior to her career in higher education, Sussan served as a consultant in international trade in China and Hong Kong. She began her career in industry as an investment banker in Tokyo and London.
Sussan received her PhD in Marketing from City University of New York (CUNY), MBA from Baruch College, CUNY and baccalaureate degree at the International Christian University in Tokyo.
