Nacef Mouri joined the School of Management as an assistant professor in 2006. He has a PhD in Marketing and an MBA from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Mouri's research interests lie in strategic alliances, innovation and sustainability, sales force management, and CEO appointments. His work has been published in a number of journals including the Journal of Business Venturing, Industrial Marketing Management, and the Journal of Travel Research, as well as in several peer-reviewed conference proceedings. His research won awards from the American Marketing Association, the Academy of Marketing Science, the Society for Marketing Advances, and the Southern Management Association.
Dr. Mouri has taught a variety of courses including Principles of Marketing, International Marketing, Marketing Research, and Marketing Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in the Honors and Executive programs. He is the recipient of a number of teaching awards including the UCF Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Teaching.
Prior to joining academia, Mouri spent several years as a consultant in the market research industry and conducted projects for leading companies around the world such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Lockheed Martin, among others.
Dr. Mouri is the co-Chair of the annual Mason Entrepreneurship Research Conference (MERC), which brings together entrepreneurship scholars from several fields, with the intent to build a community of entrepreneurship researchers across various disciplines. Dr. Mouri is currently serving as the elected Program Chair and Vice-President of the Association of Collegiate Marketing Educators, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Business Disciplines.
