The goal of the BAT is to match student strengths with employer needs, so you do not need to be an expert on all sections of the test, however there is no negative scoring so it is best to answer all questions.

Bloomberg has relationships with over 20,000 global companies that now have access to use the test score data in their recruitment for full time and internship opportunities.  Taking the BAT cannot negatively impact your employment search and there is absolutely nothing to lose by participating in this opportunity.

The Bloomberg Assessment Test (BAT) is comprised of eleven sections measuring finance aptitude and career skills with topics ranging from Economics, Analytical Reasoning and Math to Investment Management, and Verbal Skills. The BAT assesses your strengths and weaknesses for a career in business or finance and after taking it, your scores are anonymously entered in the Bloomberg Talent Search, which is used by employers to source top talent. Cybersecurity 2012 brings a timely look at global challenges, initiatives and considerations of the cybersecurity threat. The conference investigates how countries, governments, and corporations are responding and the elements of international cooperation in cybersecurity. Areas covered include the progress being made in international cybersecurity initiatives and links between national cybersecurity policy and international cybersecurity cooperation. Cybersecurity 2012 attempts to answer the question: What are countries and cross-border organizations accomplishing together in cybersecurity–and what more could be done.

A representative from the Boren Scholarships and Fellowships will be available to talk about the program and the application process.

The Boren Scholarship is a prestigious national program that supports long-term study abroad of critical languages that meet U.S. national security needs. Upon graduating, recipients are required to complete one year of federal employment in exchange for receiving the scholarship. To be competitive, students must study a critical language in a non-European country for a minimum of 6 months.

The campus deadline is January 10, 2013.
