For the thirty-third year, Mason students from around the globe have joined together to develop a program of activities to showcase their countries and cultures and to allow us to learn and participate with them.

International week through the years has grown in its nature and its scope. As more countries are represented on campus, the program offerings have expanded to include them. As the interest and commitment to cross-cultural learning and understanding have grown, more campus and community members have participated.

Closing Ceremony, International Dinner Dance

All are invited to attend the International Dinner Dance, the culminating event of International Week, on Friday evening. Enjoy cuisine from four distinct regions of the world and performances by international artists.

Featured cuisines: Ethiopia, Georgia, Morocco, Thailand and desserts from North & South America.

GMU students and faculty/staff members can purchase tickets at the box office in the Center for the Arts (one ticket per GMU I.D.). Community members can purchase tickets at the box office in the Center for the Arts or online at www.tickets.com.  A small processing fee is added to the cost of each ticket.

This is a nice opportunity for interested students to come and participate and see what Student Media is all about.

The program is conducted in English and no Chinese language is required.  Some scholarships are available to cover costs as noted below.  Time is very short as Tsinghua requests applications for this program by March 30.  The program is open to juniors, seniors and masters students in Finance, Economics, and related subjects.

About the Program

The Future Financial Leaders of Tomorrow Summer Program, to be held from June 30th to July 13th, 2013, will help international students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese financial markets. All lectures are given in English. Unique and in-depth perspectives will be provided by policymakers from the government and industry elites with extensive experience at top financial entities. In addition, the program offers participants an opportunity to become immersed in the wealth of history and culture that can only be found in China by offering art and cultural events. To encourage students of varied background to apply, we offer merit-based scholarships that may cover the full program fee if granted. Please note that the application deadline is now March 30.

Tsinghua PBC School of Finance is the 17th school established by the illustrious and time-honored university in China. This 2-week course will be conducted in China, The dates for the trip is July 12-28. This class will give you intensive exposure to a foreign culture and the businesses competing in the global economy.
