The candidate will be a vital member of the Audi of America’s Marketing Team, and will have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the brand and its success.  The Marketing team has helped progress the brand from an indistinct place amongst Tier 2 luxury brands towards challenging for Tier 1 status through repositioning and premium pricing strategy.  As Audi is redefining what makes a luxury car brand successful, we are continually improving our own operations and processes while attracting top talent, all towards propelling the #1 desired brand amongst all luxury brands.

The Marketing Insights Intern will be primarily tasked with helping implement next generation marketing analytics from its current stage of development.  This new role will collaborate with multiple internal Audi and external agency teams, collect/link/analyze disparate data sources, and help deliver key insights that equip stakeholders to make smarter, better-informed decisions that help move the business.  In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in various stages of the Marketing process such as insights generation, campaign development, brand and ad tracking, to name a few.

Primary projects the candidate will be directly involved with include:

1) Marketing Analytics

Current Generation: support data collection, synthesis and analysis, reporting-in results and recommendations, and organizing and distributing to all relevant stakeholders. This involves ongoing regular reporting as well as ad hoc requests. Continuously improving the analytics process, deliverables, and utilization across Audi Marketing and other areas of the organization.

Next Generation: support the re-scoping of marketing analytics goals/objectives/needs through stakeholder interviews, establishing needs and wants, enlisting support from internal/external partners, developing action plans with key milestones, implementing these plans and seeing through to conclusion. Vastly improved marketing analytics comprehensiveness, speed, cost effectiveness, and reach across vastly more user groups (e.g. Audi in Herndon, Audi Regions)

2) Brand and Ad Tracking

Support the Marketing Insights Manager and larger Marketing Team through syndicated and custom data solutions benchmarking Audi brand perceptions and advertising performance against key competitors. Interface and support key internal, agency, vendor, and Audi AG partners. Integrate directly into Current and Next Generation Marketing Analytics. Increase overall utilization, relevance, and impact of results across Audi Marketing and the Company.

Time permitting, the candidate may also work on a variety of other projects, including:

  • Assist in the opportunity identification and strategy and activities addressing diverse consumer markets
  • Assist in special projects in Brand, Digital, Insights, Social, Events, CRM, Retail and others.
  • Assist in ad hoc market research related to Audi vehicles, Audi brand, target Audi customers, and more in support of numerous cross-functional areas from AoA and Audi AG

The candidate will have substantial opportunity to interact with other others within the Marketing Department and other functional areas at Audi of America and Audi AG.

Qualifications
Must be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required/ Master’s degree desired or in-process, preferably in business-related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a corporate environment.
  • Marketing, analytical and automotive product knowledge skills preferred; very good written and oral communication skills; project management experience preferred; attention to detail; ability to work well in a team environment; self-motivated;
  • German language skills preferred by not required; Microsoft Office skills (Excel / PowerPoint / Word).
  • Comfortable with statistics and able to turn data into meaningful insights and impactful recommendations.
