Nordstrom 2013 Retail Management Development Internship Program

Are you a senior in college looking to build your career in retail? The Nordstrom Retail Management Development Internship Program may be the perfect fit.

We are proud to be named to Fortune magazine’s list of ‘100 Best Companies to Work For.’® We believe this recognition comes from our desire to empower our employees to set their sights high and blaze their own trails. This is a place where your future success and growth are truly a result of your own efforts and achievements.

We’re looking for individuals with enthusiasm for retail, who are motivated achievers and hardworking team players. As a Nordstrom intern, you’ll receive mentoring and training in the exciting world of fashion — and first hand experiences you won’t find in the classroom.

During your internship, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Learn from our experienced, dedicated people who bring the Nordstrom experience to life
• Gain hands-on experience by selling to and serving our customers
• Participate in sales and customer service events
• Gain exposure to a variety of management responsibilities

You’ll also earn a competitive wage and receive an employee merchandise discount. And — upon successful completion of the internship program — you’ll be offered an assistant manager or salesperson position, depending upon availability and your preferences.

The application period for our 2013 Retail Management Development Internship Program begins on December 1, 2012.

Being part of the Retail Management Development Internship program gives you an up-close and personal view of the fashion retail business. It’s a real-world perspective you won’t find in any classroom.

During the Retail Management Development Internship program, you’ll dedicate a majority of your time to learning our business in the most important job in our company – the salesperson. In addition to spending time on the selling floor in a specific merchandise area, you’ll work with many levels of management and gain exposure to different areas of our retail business. You’ll also work closely with your department manager and other interns on assigned projects, as well as attending management meetings and training seminars.

Apply today at  College juniors graduating in 2014 are also eligible to apply.

Participants in the Retail Management Development Internship program are paid a competitive wage and commission, as well as an employee merchandise discount. The 2013 Internship Program will be approximately a 9 week program starting at the beginning of June.
