Earthcare Technologies, Inc., is a small business located in Springfield, VA, that supports the Information Technology needs of businesses in the Northern VA area, as well as Web Design & Development services and eLearning Solutions worldwide.   See http://www.earthcare.com for more details.

Responsibilities:
Earthcare is looking for a talented and enthusiastic marketing intern to join our team for the 2012 summer season. The intern will participate in the following four projects,focusing primarily on Project #1 and addressing the remaining projects as time permits.

Project #1 Fort Belvoir Expo, August 8, 2012:  Earthcare is participating in the upcoming Fort Belvoir Expo to advertise its eLearning, IT support and webdesign services.

The intern will be tasked with:

  • Helping to design Earthcare’s booth,
  • Contacting tenants prior to the expo to offer Earthcare services,
  • Helping prepare materials to be distributed at the expo.

Project #2 ConferenceTime:  ConferenceTime is an online Conference Registration service, designed to meet any online Membership and/or Conference Registration need.

The intern will be tasked with:

  • Researching upcoming conferences and contacting conference administrators to offer ConferenceTime services
  • Devising and implementing marketing strategies to attract new ConferenceTime customers
  • Following-up with new and potential clients.

Project #3 eFMLA:  eFMLA is an online service that enables employers to fully and easily comply with the federal regulations of the Family Medical Leave Act.  eFMLA streamlines the lengthy process of documenting FMLA leave withcustomizable forms and documents, automated emails and leave tracking capabilities.

The intern will be tasked with:

  • Devising and implementing marketing strategies to advertise eFMLA
  • Optimizing the use of social media to publicize eFMLA

Project #4 eLearning:  eLearning is quickly becoming the preferred training method because of its cost-effectiveness and ease of use. Earthcare specializes in computer-based training, web-based training, eContent for instructor-led trainings, webinar content development interactive demonstrations, and presentations for tradeshows and conferences.

The intern will be tasked with:

  • Optimizing the use of social media tools to advertise Earthcare’s eLearning services,
  • Researching how to find eLearning business opportunities and projects.

Qualifications:
In addition to marketing coursework and/or relevant experience, the intern should
posses the following experiences and capabilities:

  • Independent decision-making and multi-tasking skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal
  • skills
  • Commitment to collaboration and teamwork
