Purpose: Seeking college students for full-time summer employment and/or part-time employment during the school year that may lead to permanent employment after graduation. Skills being sought for multiple positions include, but are not limited to:
Writing, communication, public relations, education outreach, multi-media/technology communications
Data analysis (Statistics, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, modeling, computer programming, Mathematics, GIS)
Economics, Finance, Engineering
Location: Fort Belvoir, Alexandria, Virginia
Hours: 40 hours/week during summer, 16 to 32 hours/week during school year, flexible, Monday through Friday during normal business hours
Salary: $16 to $25/hour, dependent on level of education and experience
Requirements: US Citizen, Currently an Undergraduate or Graduate student (Background check will be necessary for selection and acceptance; this could take up to 1 month)
About Agency: The Institute for Water Resources (IWR) was established to provide the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with forward-looking insights and analysis on emerging national water resources issues. IWR and its collaborating partners make vital contributions to addressing the nation’s major water resources challenges and assist the USACE in implementing collaborative approaches to water resources management.
