Capstone Strategic, Inc., is a Washington, DC, area consulting firm that specializes in formulating and pursuing strategic growth efforts for its clients, primarily through mergers and acquisitions. The firm represents a variety of privately-held businesses, as well as Fortune 500 and multinational corporations.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Researching markets and target companies
• Gathering relevant information
• Compiling tailored company/market reports

An understanding of fundamental business concepts, including finance, marketing, and economics is preferred and communication skills are essential.  Capstone Strategic seeks individuals who take initiative, are team players, enthusiastic, and analytically driven.

Responsibilities include the following:

Primary research — Assist analysts in conducting primary research; Includes contacting trade associations, government agencies, academia, private businesses, etc.
Secondary research — Online, publications, association/industry resources, etc.; Intern will be responsible for using internal resources including web-based services (LexisNexis, Onesource)
Deliverables — Reports, summaries, matrices, presentations; Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is essential
