Global Commercial Services (GCS) – Part-time Marketing/Sales Internship (approx. 24 hours per week)
Summary:
The GCS Intern will assist in the development of the GCS Sales Catalog and will be responsible for trend and competitor analysis, product launch preparation and marketing collateral planning and development.
The GCS Sales Catalog will be an in-depth SharePoint site produced by the Global Commercial Services (GCS) organization to help develop and leverage our portfolio of outsourced IT-enabled services and solutions across the entire organization.  General knowledge of ITO/BPO services a benefit.
The data contained within will provide an in-depth overview of our business organization, to include our:
  • Vision, mission, and executive value proposition
  • Target market, opportunities and market needs and trends
  • Strategic value and service model approach
  • Key advantages and competitive overview/differentiators
  • Key clients and case studies
  • Sales training materials, opportunity qualification questions, marketing and sales collateral
In addition, the sales catalog will contain the following information on each of our service areas and every one of our service offerings, to include:
  • An at-a-glance section with positioning statement, service description, service owner, internal sales support documents, marketing collateral and number of trained delivery resources/locations
  • A targeting section with ideal customer profile/market opportunity; geographic and industry targets; ideal company size; target drivers; compelling reasons to buy; analyst view and market trends; sales discovery questions, topics, and tips
  • A sales messaging section with service description and features; objectives for business and technical buyers; overall business and technical message; competitive landscape; key differentiators;  pricing and proposal; pricing considerations; rate cards and discount structures; approach details and project activities; deliverables and service descriptions; proposal text, tools and documents
  • A strategic fit section with summary and details on how it fits into GCS portfolio, what services are sold with it and what services can be sold as follow-on work
  • A case study section highlighting the client, vertical, challenge, result and with a link to the appropriate case study documentation
  • A technical documents section with the standard delivery model/statement of work, defined solution of team roles and motivations, technical documents and client references
  • A training section with raining presentations, industry-specific trends and skill sets
  • An alliance partnerships section
The GCS Sales Catalog will be a key resource to help proactively suggest to prospects and clients additional ways in which FIS can help their businesses.  It can be used in the early stages of client and opportunity planning processes too quickly and easily access key facts about what we sell, what we deliver, what it’s likely to be worth, and who we’ve already done it for.  It will facilitate the development of sales collateral and marketing materials as well as be used to develop baseline RFP responses.  It will become an invaluable internal knowledge widely used by GCS marketing, sales, proposal development and product delivery personnel to communicate and collaborate on key elements for each of GCS’ outsourced-enabled IT services and solutions.
Skills Needed:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Strong listening, oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Superior writing, editing, proofreading and research skills
  • Highly organized, professional, energetic, flexible and detailed-oriented
  • Comfortable with outsourcing infrastructure, application and business processes as a subject matter
  • Works well with different personalities and across functional departments to obtain key messaging elements
  • Capable of understanding technical content and developing messaging for non-technical audiences
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required, currently enrolled in an accredited college pursing a degree in Business, Marketing or other related fields.
