The School of Management is seeking our most notable alumni to be honored for their contributions and leadership in their communities and respective fields.
Winners will be commemorated at The Annual Business Alumni Celebration on Friday, September 19, 2014. In addition, winners will be featured on the School of Management website and the Mason Business Alumni blog.
Nominees must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a School of Management alumnus or alumna
- Must demonstrate leadership, scholarship, and citizenship as defined by The Mason Graduate
Honorees will be selected by the 20 Prominent Patriots Selection Committee.

Bruce E. Baldwin, II '05 BS Management and '07 MPA
Assistant Regional Security Officer
U.S. Diplomatic Security Service, Kampala, Uganda
After playing two years of professional baseball for the Colorado Rockies and Washington Wild Things, Bruce Baldwin began his career as a contract specialist with the Department of Defense. In 2008, he joined the U.S. Foreign Service as a special agent with the Department of State's Diplomatic Security Service.
Baldwin is currently posted at U.S. Embassy Kampala Uganda as an Assistant Regional Security Officer. Prior to his role in Uganda, he occupied the same role at U.S. Embassy Khartoum, Sudan, where he managed complex security programs with a $15 million budget, earning Meritorious and Superior Honor Awards.
Baldwin is a two-time Mason graduate with a BS Management and a Masters in Public Administration.
Douglas Bushée '04 Executive MBA
Learning Strategy and Solutions Manager
Douglas Bushée currently supports Xerox in the sales learning space. He oversees sales training for the direct sales population and is responsible for reducing time to performance, aligning sales knowledge and skills training at the point of need and leveraging social learning to improve the speed at which new hire sales personnel learn.
Apart from his professional career, Bushée currently sits on the board of directors of Bella Solutions, the Fairfax County Law Enforcement Foundation and is also Executive Director and found of the CORE Foundation. Bushée holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University and an Executive MBA from George Mason University.

Bruce Case is the President of Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., one of the largest full-service remodeling firms in the nation. With operations focused in the Washington, DC area, Case Design/Remodeling brings clients a unique mix of design/build services (through the Case brand) as well as home care services (through fred – the first name in home repair). Over the last 15 years, Case has extended its reach across the U.S. through a network of licensees and franchisees working under Case Handyman & Remodeling Services, LLC. Since its founding in 1961, Case has won over 100 national design, remodeling, and business awards and the Case network has completed over 100,000 renovation projects for over 60,000 clients. Binding these initiatives is a focus on inspiring team members and clients.
Case holds an MBA from George Mason University.
Peter J. Conlon '96 Executive MBA

Since earning his MBA at George Mason University, Peter Conlon has served as Chief Financial Officer of the publicly-listed Positron Fiber Systems, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nautel Limited and Chairman of the Board of Precision BioLogic. Along the way, Conlon has been honored as one of Atlantic Canada's Top 50 CEOs on multiple occasions and was recognized as Business Person of the Year for Halifax in 2009. Companies he has led were named Exporter of the Year for Nova Scotia (2010) and as an inaugural member of Canada's Passion Capitalists (2012). A lifelong learner, in 2012 Conlon was granted his ICD.D designation by the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Mark Cummings is Founder, Principal, and CEO of MEC Realty Associates, a Fairfax, VA.-based commercial real estate brokerage firm, with over 30 years of experience servicing national, regional and local customers across all asset classes. MEC Realty Associates is one of the most recognized local CRE firms, specializing in senior level Tenant Representation, leasing millions of square feet of all type asset classes, sizes, and locations in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, including Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
As a 1994 graduate of Mason's Executive MBA program, Cummings serves as President-elect for the School of Management Alumni Chapter as well as an Adjunct Professor for the School of Management and the Masters in Real Estate Development Program teaching Finance, Marketing Analytics, and Real Estate Development. Cummings has served as a representative and Chairman of the Fairfax Center Land Use Committee. He is a certified First Responder for the State of Virginia, having served as a volunteer with the Virginia Airborne Search and Rescue Squad.
Eric P. Etter '07 BS Finance

Eric Etter is a management and technology consultant at The MITRE Corporation, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) serving in the public's interest and trust. His consulting experience has focused on business, technology, and innovation management, as well as leading large IT acquisitions and software product development teams for Federal clients. In addition, Etter is a public speaker, humanitarian, and founder of Tangerine Consulting, Inc. in Reston, Virginia. Speaking engagements include IEEE, IRS, and other local professional societies and Federal agencies. Current humanitarian efforts center on creating a non-profit for sponsorship of children's athletic teams in developing countries, as well as local initiatives combating hunger and homelessness.
Etter is a 2007 School of Management graduate with a BS in Finance and holds an M.S. in Information Systems Technology from George Washington University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Always believing technology can aid in solving the "big picture" problems of humanity, Etter strives to help guide and mentor people and organizations to design and apply the best technologies to the right problems.
Bryan D. Felder '98 BS Management

As a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, Bryan Felder has both experience and understanding of the area's changing marketplace. Prior to becoming a Realtor, he was a commercial and residential banker with First Union/Wachovia Bank after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from George Mason University. He quickly moved up within the company and was ultimately promoted to Assistant Vice President. Felder is a high-energy professional, who is focused on delivering quality of service, integrity and trust. He prides himself on communication, accessibility and integrity. With a remarkable attention to detail and a drive for results, he is able to provide superior service in all aspects of residential real estate including new construction, property management, tear downs, short sales, foreclosures and traditional selling and buying. His business management experience, coupled with extensive real estate knowledge ensures clients' real estate needs will be carried out professionally, efficiently and personally.

Ed Hasan currently serves as the Executive Director of Human Resources and Administration at the Immune Tolerance Network (ITN). The ITN is an international clinical research consortium funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), whose mission is to advance the clinical application of immune tolerance through a unique development model. Additionally, Hasan is the Founder of Recruit4Cause, LLC, an early stage start-up, dedicated to aligning human resources activities and social responsibility. Specifically, Recruit4Cause is a job opportunity website that serves both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Ten percent of the revenue from each job posting is allocated to a charitable organization of the job poster's choice that tackles some of the world's most pressing social issues.
Hasan received a B.S. in Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems at George Mason University and serves as an instructor for George Mason University's Office of Continuing Professional Education teaching its Human Resource Certificate Program in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Additionally, Hasan earned an MBA from the University of Scranton's Kania School of Management and is a Certified Senior Professional in HR (SPHR).

Jason Howell is a native of California with roots in both the Caribbean and Hispanic culture. For over 25 years he has lived in Northern Virginia and considers the Commonwealth his home.
With New York Life Insurance, he serves his fellow Americans in the difficult area of personal finance. He was a 2012 U.S. Congressional candidate, former chapter President of Association for Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting and former local President of Toastmasters – the international, non-profit organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. In 2011, he published his first book, AMERICA: Still the Land of Opportunity, Always a Home for the Brave.
In 2014 he plans to publish his 2nd book on "Patriotic Development™", a phrase he coined to help the current generation identify long term objectives and start building a legacy for themselves, their families, and their country.
Lt. Col. Russell E. Jamison, Jr. '83 BS Accounting
Joint Training System Specialist
In 2007, Russell E. Jamison, Jr. retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel with over 25 years of service. He was present in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 and is a combat veteran of Iraq. He is currently the Joint Training System Specialist with Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Faculty member for the Marine Corps University College of Distance Education/Training.
Along with his BS in Accounting from George Mason University, Jamison holds an MS Degree in Leadership from Boston University.
Mark F. McGettrick '80 BS Business Administration

Mark McGettrick is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Dominion Resources, Inc. His areas of responsibility include treasury, accounting, tax, investor relations, risk management, business planning and financial analysis.
McGettrick joined Dominion in 1980 and has held a variety of management positions in Distribution Design, Accounting, Financial Planning, Customer Service and Generation. He previously served as president of Dominion Resources Services, Inc. and was chief executive officer of the company's Dominion Generation operating segment before assuming his current post in June 2009.
He currently is a member of the Virginia Electric Power Company Board of Directors as well as the George Mason University's Board of Visitors. He is also on the Homeward Board of Advocates, an organization for homeless services in the greater Richmond region.
A graduate of George Mason University, he has a bachelor's degree in business administration and was named the Public Company CFO of the year in 2011 by Virginia Business Magazine.
Michael A. Murray '92 BS Finance

As TMA Direct's President and CEO, Michael Murray sets the customer-centric tone for the company and leads its strategic initiatives. TMA has twice been ranked in Virginia Business Magazine's "Fantastic 50", which recognizes the state's fastest-growing companies. A full service media agency, TMA serves Fortune 1,000 companies, non-profits and political organizations.
Murray is a Board Member Emeritus for the George Mason University School of Management and currently serves on the board of the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing at the University of Akron. Additionally, he is involved with a number of charities including Children's National Medical Center. TMA's golf tournament benefiting CNMC has raised more than $500,000.

Harold C. Rauner is the President of United Financial Banking Companies, Inc., a multi-subsidiary, financial holding company and parent of The Business Bank and Business Venture Capital, Inc. Mr. Rauner is also CEO and President of The Business Bank and Business Venture Capital, Inc. He is a graduate of George Mason University, where he received both a bachelor's and master's degree in business administration with a major in finance and real estate.
Rauner is the founding Director and past President of the Rotary Club of Dunn Loring; a former Director of the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia; and a former Chairman of the Board of the Community Bankers Bank headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Currently, Mr. Rauner serves on the Boards of the Potomac Conservancy and the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the George Mason University School of Management's Dean's Advisory Council and serves on the Board of Governors for The Tower Club in Vienna, Virginia.

Ola Sage serves as the Chief Executive Officer of e-Management, a recognized thought leader in IT services and cybersecurity risk management solutions that drive business performance. Under her leadership the company has grown, providing value-added solutions to the top largest U.S. federal agencies. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the 2010 Women in Technology (WIT) leadership award in the Corporate Public Sector Small Business category, and the Washington Business Journal 2013 Top 25 Minority Business Leader award. Sage, a Certified Project Management Professional, also holds professional certifications in risk management and government financial management.

As President of Array Information Technology (ARRAY), he provides overall corporate leadership for the company's growth strategy. Prior to ARRAY, Sumeet was SVP for Public Sector at Keane, Inc (now NTT Data). Previously, as EVP and COO of ANSTEC, a Government IT contractor, he architected the company's acquisition by Keane.
Shrivastava is a 1994 graduate of Mason's Executive MBA program. He currently serves as a member of George Mason University's Diversity Advisory Board and as a Director of the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Christopher Weber is a 2012 School of Management graduate with dual degrees in accounting and finance. Upon graduation he began his career at ScienceLogic, a leading provider of IT operations and cloud management software, as an Accountant and Financial Analyst. He is also a firefighter with the Occoquan, Woodbridge, Lorton Volunteer Fire Department in Prince William County. Since 2011, Chris has volunteered over 1,100 hours annually between duty shifts and attending certification courses. His future plans include sitting for the CPA exam and returning to higher education for an MBA.

Brian Wendroff is the managing partner and founder of Wendroff & Associates, CPA. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who specializes in CFO consulting, small business and nonprofit accounting, startup companies, and tax planning for individuals and businesses. He is a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs Northern Chapter and is currently serving as the Chair of the Nonprofit committee. He is also an active member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. Wendroff notes his favorite part of being a CPA is working with business owners to help them reach their organizational goals and create opportunities for growth.

Michael Zeiders is the founder and CEO of Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. which employees over 1,000 professionals who provide quality of life support programs for military service and family members worldwide. Zeiders Enterprises' services include career transition, personal financial management, life skills, and family counseling. In 2007, Zeiders founded the Quality of Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports caregivers of severely wounded, ill, and injured veterans. Mike is a past Chairman of the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board, author of the book Entrepreneurship, The Art of Succeeding in Business, a 1975 graduate of the U. S.
