Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society serving business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. It is the premier international honor society for business school graduates and membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
Beta Gamma Sigma membership is available only to students at the twenty-five percent of business schools accredited by AACSB. The top ten percent of undergraduates and the top twenty percent of graduate students at each school are invited to join. The George Mason University chapter is rated among the top one-third of the almost 500 chapters worldwide and has been recognized as an exemplary chapter for its superior level of membership acceptance in the 2007-08 academic year. As a result, the School of Management receives matching funds from Beta Gamma Sigma toward an annual scholarship, offered to a student member of the honor society.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma offers benefits beyond the academic honors. Members may participate in a job posting board, take advantage of a variety of discount offers, and join alumni chapters. The organization also sponsors Student Leadership Forums, a transformational weekend seminar for top-performing seniors encouraging them to reflect on career and life goals.
