The School of Management (SOM) has several organizational partners, both in government and industry, which further enrich the educational experience and academic depth of SOM’s programs and research. SOM’s organizational partners include
CIO University - A consortium of universities including Carnegie Mellon University, George Mason University, George Washington University, LaSalle University, Loyola University at Chicago, Syracuse University and the University of Maryland University College. CIO University offers graduate level programs that directly address the executive core competencies adopted by the Federal Chief Information Officers (CIO) Council. The purpose of the CIO University is to improve the management of information technology in the federal government by enhancing the skills of its top executives.
Technology Management Education Association (TMEDA)- An organization of technology management professionals from academia and industry with the purpose of exchanging ideas to enhance education in the technology management field.
Business Alliance of George Mason University - A collection of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area's finest industry and academic minds working together to educate a new generation of leadership, develop new approaches to business and stimulate economic growth. The Business Alliance provides a forum in which business leaders, faculty and students can collaborate, network, and exchange ideas—preparing present and future leaders to overcome the marketplace's challenges. The Business Alliance hosts a variety of educational/investment forums, networking events, business education and volunteer activities all of which are designed to help participants become more successful through the exchange of ideas and information.
