What does it take to engage your team? How do you establish powerful relationships among your team members? How do you reach a level of sustained confidence and trust with those you work with?
We sometimes think of a leader as someone who gets the job done in spite of the odds. This has resulted in many hero stories in our culture, but the overwhelming evidence is that high-performing leaders get things done through others. The best leaders have highly competent teams that are engaged, can be trusted to get the job done while keeping an eye on the long-term success of the organization.
Join our six month program: The Art of Leading - The Science of Leadership. Learn how your leading impacts others as well as yourself. This program uses self-assessment tools, faculty presentations, case discussions, coaching and selected readings to build your capacity for leading.
You will learn strategies for continuous development through extensive assessment, group discussions, self-reflection, small group activities and personal coaching. Throughout the program, you will engage in development planning which provides a direct transfer of your learning from the classroom to your workplace.
This developmental experience will change your life–both personally and professionally.
Program Features
This unique program is delivered in three phases: pre-work, classroom learning experience, and sustainability. We believe that learning to lead is a process not unlike gardening. It takes time, care and nurturing before it matures and blooms. To provide that time, this program is distributed over three phases: a pre-work phase that lays a foundation for the program, a classroom phase that meets once a month for four hours and provides concepts, models, frameworks, ideas, coaching and practice for becoming more effective as a leader, and a sustainability phase that ensures follow through on development commitments with web-based sessions and podcasts. The program duration for all phases is approximately ten months.
